Let’s not forget the elephant in the room…Autofuel! I have been using Petersons STC in my aircraft for many years with no problems at all. I do test my fuel each time for ethanol and also follow Petersons Stc recommendations for 100LL, granted the Stc is not for high HP engines but there are a lot of aircraft that can use Autofuel…think Cessna 172 and Beech Debonair. The trouble is availability, not many airports have Autofuel but around me I can still get 91 octane non ethanol at service stations at about 2$ les than Avgas, and yes you need a transfer tank and a pickup truck which’s is a pain.
