Two Cessna Citations collided on a taxiway in San Antonio, Texas, Friday afternoon and although both airplanes appear to be significantly damaged, no injuries were reported.
NBC’s local affiliate, KXAN, reported Friday that one aircraft was taxiing, possibly after landing, and clipped the wing of a second aircraft. The two airplanes were mingled just off the pavement, with the nose of one resting on the fuselage of the other aircraft, just forward of the engines.
According to the FAA, one of the aircraft, a 560, left New Orleans at 1 p.m. and the second, a 580, departed San Jose, California, at 10:23 a.m. The FAA continues to investigate the incident.
